Drive U.S. Highway 19 and you won't escape the sights of a big-busted waitress in purple winking as you pass.

The cartoon waitress logo belongs to the Hamburger Mary's, the newest chain restaurant to open on Pinellas County's main thoroughfare. Hamburger Mary's opened Tuesday, Sept. 3, and is still serving a scaled-back menu as part of its soft launch.

As the restaurant's name implies, Mary's specializes in hamburgers, but easily substitutes chicken breast, turkey burger or vegetarian black bean patty for any dish. Mary's also serves freshly made soups, salads and wraps, as well as dessert items that harken back to childhood, like fried Twinkies and S'mores.

The restaurant also has daily drink specials.

The new location at 28910 U.S. Highway 19 N in Clearwater is the fourth to open in Florida. Other locations include Ybor City, Orlando and Jacksonville.

The Clearwater location is open daily at 11 a.m.
