In each segment of Restaurant Impossible, Irvine tries to help troubled restaurants by revamping the menu, identifying and fixing staff and management problems, and giving the restaurant a makeover using a $10,000 budget.

Crews will be filming at Smitty's Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

No one answered the phone at Smitty's Monday afternoon. A sign on the door read, "We are closed for service today. Will reopen at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow."

Producers of the show recently posted an ad on Craig's List. They were looking for people to help with construction during the makeover. They most likely have filled the positions.

Irvine was in Tampa Bay last year. He hosted a cooking segment at the Transitions PGA Tour Tournament at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor.
