The beauty school and salon company is relocating its classroom and instruction operation from downtown St. Petersburg to a former Bally's Total Fitness on U.S. 19.

Beauty school and salon company Aveda is moving about half of the students and employees from its downtown St. Petersburg operation to Clearwater, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The company will move into the site of a former Bally's Total Fitness at 28272 U.S. 19 N., according to the Times.

About 100 of the 200 people who make up the classroom and instruction component of Aveda's St. Pete location will still remain there, along with the company's corporate offices and advanced academy.
