Director to Talk With Moviegoers After 'Approaching Midnight' Screening

A movie director will chat with fans using Skype after the film shows in Clearwater Friday.

EMMY Nominated film producer and actor Sam Logan Khaleghi used to live in Clearwater. Some of his family still does.

That is why he wanted to give movie goers a chance to talk with him after his movie “Approaching Midnight” premieres Friday at Cobb Theaters at Countryside Mall.

The movie follows the return of Army staff sergeant Wesley Kent (Khaleghi) to his small town after being wounded fighting in Afghanistan.

He copes with with burying his best friend from the war (Brandon T. Jackson). Then finds out his girlfriend Aspen (Jana Kramer) died in a car accident while he was gone.

“Seeking information about her accident, his unanswered questions grow as he begins to uncover a web of mysterious circumstances, possible corruption and greed that may lead all the way to Aspen’s father, the town's Mayor, and his run for Governor,” according to the ‘Approaching Midnight’ website.

The movie premiered as part of an American Legion Veterans charity at the American Legion National Convention in Houston in August. 

It will be screened in limited release throughout the country Friday.

Khaleghi will call in using Skype after the 4 and 7 p.m. screenings.
