Beer Goggles has quickly become the choice venue for punk rock bands to perform in the Clearwater and Largo area.

Saturday night was no exception as Largo favorites HouseBroken took the headlining spot around midnight.

Fusing hardcore punk with gothic undertones gives HouseBroken a slightly darker sound than other local bands. Songs "Shadows," "Demonology," and "Dark Day's" dominated the short but sweet set Saturday night.

Around 50 people were in attendence for the HouseBroken show, with every seat at the bar occupied. In typical punk rock fashion, no advanced tickets were sold and a five dollar cover charge was in place to take care of the band's gas money.

Musical support came in the form of the Funeral Dazies kicking things off around 9 p.m. and Sons of The Working Class closing things down shortly afterwards.
