Tropical Storm Debby Floods Part of U.S. 19

Rain from Tropical Storm Debby drenched Clearwater Sunday. The flooded roadways created dangerous driving conditions as these photos show.

It was slow going on some parts of U.S. 19 Sunday afternoon due to heavy rain brought by Tropical Storm Debby.

These photos were taken in Clearwater around 4:45 p.m. shortly after the Tornado Warning ended.

We were headed north on U.S. 19, and encounterd deep water just past the Clearwater Mall and Evans Road.

causing vehicles to maneuver very carefully. However, we did not see any accidents.
