It was a busy season for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium turtle team.
Already, the sea turtle nesting numbers were at a record-setting pace, with 200 accounted for along Pinellas County beaches.
The team now is preparing to release its fifth turtle that was rehabilitated this year.
Drew, a 135-pound loggerhead sea turtle, will be released at 10 a.m. Wednesday on Clearwater Beach near the Palm Pavilion.
She was emaciated and found floating in shallow water near Honeymoon Island June 30. Drew also was having trouble diving.
She weighed 105 pounds when rescuers first admitted her but has overcome her buoyancy problem and weighs 135 pounds.
