Road Closed: Downtown, Ambleside and Hillcrest Neighborhoods

Planning a drive through Clearwater this week? Make sure to avoid these closed roads.

Construction throughout the city has roads closed downtown, in Ambleside and Hillcrest neighborhoods this week.

Make sure to avoid these roads:

Downtown

The eastbound lane of Cleveland Street from Osceola to Fort Harrison avenues will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon Monday, July 15, as a crane installs concrete roof panels to the Capitol Theatre. Osceola Avenue from Cleveland Street to the alley behind the Capitol Theatre also will be closed to traffic at this time. Fort Harrison Avenue and Park Street can be used as detours.

Cleveland Street from Garden to Fort Harrison avenues near Station Square will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 7 for the Summer Farmer's Market. Park Street can be used as a detour.

Ambleside Neighborhood

Lanes of Palmetto Street from Ridge to Saturn avenues will be intermittently closed as crews mill and resurface the road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, to Friday, July 19. Drew Street can be used as a detour.

Hillcrest Neighborhood

South Prescott Avenue at Belleair Road is closed through Tuesday, July 23 as crews work on a project related to the Hillcrest-Brookhill Neighborhood Traffic Calming Project. Drivers can use South Betty Lane and Young Avenue as detours.
