Red Day Event to Raise Heart Disease Awareness

Leonard Johnsons hosts a Red Day Event to raise awareness about heart disease at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the North Greenwood Recreation and Aquatic Complex.

Leonard Johnson continues to give back to the community.

Johnson came up playing football with the North Greenwood Panthers and starred at Largo High School before reaching the professional ranks with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season.

He has hosted a football camp for local kids and worked with learning disabled students at Sandy Lane Elementary.

Now, he is host of the Red Day event which is designed to raise awareness about heart disease and promote healthy lifestyles Thursday at the North Greenwood Recreation and Aquatic Complex.

Guest speakers include Denarvis Fuller, Jasmine Le’Shea, Minister Damon Penny and Isay Gulley. The Million Dollar Steppers also will perform.
