Plenty of Road Work This Week

Drivers should use extra caution as a plethora of road projects start this week in Clearwater.

In addition to Spring Break traffic, Clearwater drivers should also use caution as crews start work on the following projects this week:

Monday

  • US 19 will converge to two lanes between Seville Boulevard and Drew Street as crews work to install a new bridge over Gulf to Bay Boulevard. The work is expected to last through July 1. 
  • Peachtree Circle at Winding Wood Drive will be closed to traffic through Wednesday (March 7) as crews work on an underdrain project. Haverhill Drive can be used as a detour.
  • Duncan Avenue between Drew and Harvard streets will be closed to traffic through March 9 as crews mill and resurface the road. Saturn Avenue can be used as a detour.
  • Lanes along Hercules Avenue between Barrington and Charter Oaks drives will be under construction as crews install reclaimed water piping through March 16. Traffic will be allowed through, but drivers should allow extra time.
  • Jupiter Avenue between Cleveland and Drew streets will be closed to traffic from through March 9 as crews mill and resurface the road. Saturn Avenue can be used as a detour.
  • The intersection of Lawrence and St. Croix drives will be closed to traffic through March 7 for an underdrain project. Catherine and Sue drives can be used as detours.
  • Main Avenue between Drew Street and Gulf to Bay Boulevard will be closed through March 9 as crews mill and resurface the road. Belcher Road and Starcrest Drive can be used as detours.

Thursday

  • Cleveland Street between S Highland Avenue and Belcher Road will be closed to traffic through March 15 as crews mill and resurface the road. Drew Street and Gulf to Bay Boulevard can be used as detours.
  • Haverhill Drive at Winding Wood Drive will be closed to traffic through March 9 for an underdrain project. Peachtree Circle can be used as a detour.
