Patch Picks: Five Spring Break Camps For Kids

Spring is here, and now's the time to register for spring break camp. Patch has found five, fun camps, including gymnastics, water sports, nature and science, and arts and crafts.

For Pinellas County students, spring break is almost here. Have you signed the kids up for spring break camp yet? Since most Clearwater camp's registration is already underway, it's a good idea to do it soon.

If you're not sure what's available, check out our picks for great spring break camps. Activities range from participating in a primary interest, like sailing, to a day filled with variety of games, sports and crafts. Here are five, fun camps offering exciting activities, like gymnastics, water sports and nature adventures.

- offers full and half day spring camps for all ages. Campers will enjoy gymnastics, crafts, games and more. For full days (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), the fee is $40.00 per day, and $25.00 for half days (either 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) A ten percent sibling discount is also available. Clearwater Community Sailing Spring Break Camp – offers a water sports camp to kids, ages five to 17. Camps include sailing programs, water adventure, windsurfing, paddling and junior lifeguards. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with before and after care available. Fees are $250.00 per week for members, and $275.00 per week for nonmembers. Ask about multiple week and sibling discounts. – offers camp for kids in grades kindergarten through fifth. Kids will enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts. Camp hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Camp fee is $75 with a play pass; $100 with a recreation card; and $125 without a card per session. Moccasin Lake Nature Park Science & Nature Spring Safari Camp – offers a hands-on camp to explore nature and science. Geared to kids, ages six to 12, campers will explore a variety of fun activities, including crafts and animal encounters.
