Good Morning, Gulfport!

Peek-a-boo, I see you . . . kinda of! Good Morning Gulfport! Check out this cute photo uploaded in our "Pics & Clips" neighborhood gallery.

Welcome to "Good Morning Gulfport!"

We want to highlight YOU for uploading photos, videos, announcements and events on Gulfport Patch.

Today, we're highlighting a new photo in our "Gulfport Pics & Clips" neighborhood gallery! Special thanks to Rebecca Jepson for uploading two new photos. One of which made me say . . . . "peek-a-boo!" (Well, in my head!)

I'm not 100% sure of what kind of bird this is, but I think it was taken at Wood Ibis Park by Town Shores.

Thanks Rebecca!

Good Morning, Charlene, You found a "Wood Ibis" peaking around a tree in Wood Ibis ParK. I remember the first time I saw one come to my front door when I lived at 30th and Clinton. He/she had joined a bevy of white herons looking for their morning snack that I happily provided. I looked at that bird and said, "My goodness, you are so ugly, I'll have to call you "Handsome"! She/he visited me every day with all the other wonderful birds and I loved every minute of it! Have a great day, Charlene and keep up your wonderful work on the Patch.

Joyce! Thanks so much for sharing! I wasn't 100% sure - but that explains the name of the park :) Do you still see the "Handsome" bird around town? It's so interesting how animals have such personalities!
