City Council Approves Changes to Park Hours

City leaders renamed a park and changed hours at many other parks.

City leaders changed the hours and renamed some of the city’s parks at its meeting Thursday.   

The Lake Chautauqua Park North, 2761 Enterprise Road, is changed to Enterprise Dog Park.

Other parks include these changes:

  • hours are changed from “Closed from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.” to “Closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.”
  • Belmont Park and Plaza Park from “Closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.” to “Closed from Sunset until Sunrise”
  • Sand Key Bayside Park – from “Open 24 Hours Per Day” to “Closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.”
  • Ross Norton Ballfields, Frank Tack Park, Sid Lickton and Fred Cournoyer Center, Joe DiMaggio Complex change from various set hours to “Open for Permitted Use Only”
  • changes from “Open for Permitted Use Only” to “City Owned Properties - Leased to Others." The hours for the park area change to “Closed from Sunset Until Sunrise.”
  • park area hours are changed to “Closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.”
  • Del Oro Park Trail hours are changed to “Closed from Sunset until Sunrise”
  • hours are now "Open 24 Hours Per Day”
