Local woman crowned 2014 Mrs. Clearwater United States

 Michelle Benetti, 38 years old, has been selected as Mrs. Clearwater 2013-2014 and will compete for the title of Mrs. Florida United States April 25-27 2014 in beautiful Ormond Beach, Florida.  Michelle Benetti (2014 Mrs. Clearwater) is married and has 4 children from a blended family with her husband. Michelle is active in her community by bringing awareness to Domestic Violence. As a survivor of Domestic Violence, she is empowering men and women to understand abuse as abuse and not as love. Domestic Violence should not be tolerated against anyone, male or female. Victims are often in silence, and she wants to change this statistic. Michelle plans on using her past experiences to write a book on domestic violence, and is working with a local nonprofit organization to offer support and empowerment to local victims of domestic violence through fundraising, and volunteering at local shelters. Michelle is also hosting a fashion show “Diva’s against Domestic Violence” in October to raise awareness against Domestic Violence and will donate proceeds to local domestic violence non-profits. 

Not only is Michelle active in making a difference in her community, she is making a positive impression nationwide by staying involved with other important domestic violence organizations. She has recently sent in her application to join the National Coalition against Domestic Violence Board.

A nationally recognized program for women between the ages of 21 to 65, the Florida U.S. Pageant system selects contestants who are well-rounded women, confident, intelligent, beautiful, and committed to family & community. The Florida U.S Pageant system paves the way for women to make a positive impact on society. They hold competitions for two divisions:  Mrs. Florida (21-65) and Ms. Florida (25-55, single, or previously married).  Contestants in the Florida United States Pageants will compete in:  Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and on-stage Q&A with each portion making up 25% of their total score. Winner of the state pageant will represent Florida in the 2014 Mrs. United States Pageant in Las Vegas, NV.
