Google Beach View, Dine Out for Charity, Hops for Hospice

Here's a quick look at what's going on in Clearwater Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Google Beach View

Have you seen the back packers walking along Clearwater Beach? Cameras are attached to a pair of people who are walking the sand from Clearwater Beach to Anclote Key, according to the Tampa Bay Times. They are part of a project to capture 825 miles of Florida beaches.

Dine Out, Help Charities

Eat out for a good cause. A different charity gets 20 percent of Clear Sky Cafe's net sales Tuesdays through November. UPARC is the beneficiary Oct. 1. Find out more here.

Hops for Hospice

Sample more than 100 craft beers at the Hops for Hospice Beer Festival from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 5 at Bright House Field.

Attendees receive a commemorative beer mug to sample libations. The event also includes a corn hole tournament and closest to the pin golf contest. Cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door Visit hopsforhospice.com.

Belcher Lane Closures; Mandalay Lane Shifts to End

Milling and resurfacing along Belcher Road from Countryside Boulevard to Sunset Point Road is expected to end after Tuesday, Oct. 1. 

Lane shifts on Mandalay Avenue from San Marco to Papaya are expected to end Oct. 4. The shift was needed so crews could work on the Mandalay Storm Water Improvement project.

Drivers should use caution and allow additional time. Call 727-562-4750.
