City Council Talks Aquarium Terms Wednesday

The typical Thursday night City Council meeting is moved to 6 p.m. Wednesday this week. City leaders will discuss terms of an agreement that could allow the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to develop a $160 million facility on the downtown waterfront if approved by residents in a special election Nov. 5.

Teen fans of the Twilight series can bring their ideas and story lines to help director and playwright Ellen Henderson create the play 'Renesmee, The Teen Years' at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the East Library, 2251 Drew St.

ORCHESTRA TICKETS ON SALE

Single tickets for the Florida Orchestra's 2013-14 season concerts are now on sale. Included are all Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater performances. The lineup includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 featuring the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay; aerial artists, jugglers, acrobats, strongmen and more offering dazzling feats at Cirque de la Symphony; a 40th anniversary salute to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon;, and more.
