The typical Thursday night City Council meeting in Clearwater is moved to 6 p.m. tonight. City leaders will discuss terms of an agreement that could allow the Clearwater Marine Aquarium to develop a $160 million facility on the downtown waterfront if approved by residents in a special election Nov. 5.

Backpacks, Bike Helmets, School Supplies

Clearwater Police and the Hispanic Outreach Center will be giving away school supplies, backpacks, bike helmets and bicycle lights at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the center, 612 Franklin St. It serves the expanding Hispanic population in Clearwater.
