Pinellas County is 100 years old this year and St. Petersburg College is celebrating it with a ceremony Thursday night beginning at 7 in the Digitorium on the Seminole Campus, 9200 113th Street North, Seminole.
It was a century ago that the western part of Hillsborough County became Pinellas.
Guest speakers are Susan Demers, Dean, College of Policy and Legal Studies; Joe Leopold, Director, Learning Resources and Tara Newsom, Associate Professor, Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Birthday cake and ice cream also will be served.
