From Garden to Table: Chef Michael's Sweet Potato Cookfest

Just in time for Thanksgiving and harvest, learn about the history of that southern delight, the sweet potato. An established cooking instructor, Chef Michael Webb will explain how the sweet potato got to Florida, how well it grows in our Community Garden, and when to plant and when to harvest. Attendees will then be taken through the preparation of three recipes:
- Appetizer Baked Sweet Potato Chips, Lemon and Thyme Scented Chevre and Mascarpone Mousse
- Side Dish Broiled Sweet Potato Chunks, Fresh Garden Herbs, Local Bee Branch Creek Apiary Honey
- Dessert Frozen Pumpkin Mousse with Toasted Walnut Toffee Crunch

The Dunedin Community Center offers opportunities to exercise or spend time with friends or loved ones. The center contains a multi-purpose room for concerts and stage performances, a children's area, classroom space, a dance and exercise room, a fitness and workout center, a recording studio and more.
The center hosts classes and club meetings, and its rooms and the Highlander Pavilion on Wee Loch Ness, on the center campus, can be rented out.
