A dark, brooding cloud formation dumps rain over Clearwater Beach and was selected by vote as Clearwater Patch's top Sunday Sunset for 2012. After weeks of voting, Wayne Cathel's picture of the cloud formation, we titled "Spooky Storm Cloud Sunset" and originally published Oct. 28 was chosen as the top sunset. Cathel, of Belleair Images, also won our Facebook Cover Photo Contest in September. After escaping refuge in the Sunshine State from the wrath of Hurricane Sandy, Kate Schwarz shared this sunset shot taken near Frenchy's Rockaway Nov. 11.
