Whole Foods Market Announces Plans For Clearwater Store

The company made the announcement on social media.

Updated, Nov. 8:

Whole Foods Market will not open in Clearwater until 2014 or later, the company's public relations department told a Patch editor Thursday via Twitter. A location has not been decided.

Earlier:

Whole Foods Market announced on Facebook Wednesday that a new store would soon be coming to the Clearwater area.

Around 5:45 p.m., the Whole Foods Market Facebook account posted:

"Here are the new store locations that have just been released: Altamonte Springs & Clearwater, FL; Hyannis, MA; Morristown, NJ; Philadelphia & South Hills, PA; Dallas, TX; Seattle, WA; New York City, NY (Upper East Side & Harlem) and North Carolina!"

The area press office did not have any details about the Clearwater location for the natural and organic grocery store, but promised details would be released soon.

Where do you think would be the best location for a Whole Foods in Clearwater?

I think the best location for Whole Foods would be at areas around
Countryside Mall or Clearwater Mall. Where one can do combined shopping.

Sounds like the opening won't be until 2014 or later, according to a company spokesperson. We just updated the story.

I'm not saying I don't believe you but I work for the company and find it highly unlikely. They like their locations to be stand alone or at least the main focus of a small plaza. It would also kill their business during the holidays. I would rather go to the Publix down the street if I had to find a parking spot at the mall just to grab a few items.

Hi Brad, I know this because the company that I work for wanted the Sears location, but Whole Foods got it.

Anticarcinogens that may help prevent cancer can also be found in many food especially fruits and vegetable. Antioxidants are important groups of compounds that may help remove potentially harmful chemicals. It is however often difficult to identify the specific components in diet that serve to increase or decrease cancer risk since many food, such as beef steak and broccoli, contain low concentrations of both carcinogens and anticarcinogens. Thanks.

Because a strong majority of firefighter positions are government positions, firefighters often qualify for the same benefits as other government employees. Eighty-nine percent of state and local government employees have access to retirement benefits while 87 percent have access to medical care benefits. Thanks.
