What Clearwater's Saying: Gas is Less Than $3

Have you seen the gas station signs offering fuel for less than $3?

Driving around Clearwater it is hard not to notice the falling price of fuel.

More than a few gas stations are now offering regular unleaded gas for less than $3.

So, we want to know what you think about the decrease (and what you paid at the pump).

Some Clearwater Patch Facebook fans already shared their sentiments:

"$2.99 thanks to Thorntons!" wrote Sheila Cole.

"Yeah!! $2,98 a gallon!" Karen Verducci shared.

Don't know how the President is the reason for natural Supply and Demand of Crude Oil. But some people are willing to give him credit, or blame him for anything.

$2.99 at Hess and 7-11 at the corner of Belcher Rd and Drew St. Beats the $3.13 that it is at Vellero up the road.

Love the cheaper gas, but ran into a HUGE issue when I got gas at the corner of Highland and Bellair, the pump held my debit card for $75.00 and my bill was for $20 worth of gas- hit the grocery store and a a small reatil store and of course added overdraft fees, totaling $60 as my money was on hold! $20 for the gas and $75 for the authorization on a debit card!!! very expensive gas- beware folks if you have little money in the bank. never going there again and now afraid to get gas if I do not have cash.
