What Are Your Ideas For Fun At Crest Lake Park?

Residents challenged themselves to come up with 30 days of events to have in Crest Lake Park as a way to invite people back to the park. What would you add to this list?

About 50 residents came to talk about safety and improvements for Crest Lake Park at the Skycrest Neighbors Association meeting Tuesday.

These are all great ideas. I might add a 5 de Mayo celebration, a Day of the Child/Dia del Nino festival, and a dog-related event tied to Crest Lake's popular dog park. Kudos to Skycrest residents for your wonderful ideas and initiative!

What about a 5k around the lake? They have a nice long sidewalk, which would make for a good small race. Break up by age groups, so not everyone is racing at the same time.

Thanks Laurrie M, Michael D, and Michael C for the suggestions. The Skycrest Neighbors Association event committee meets tonight to set the tone for this challenge. I am hopeful that there will be some more information to share at our Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition meeting on Feb 4th. Doggy Date Night complete with K-9 Demo and Animal Health Services onsite, Glow in the Dark Bicycle Ride and a few other things are being discussed. Thanks everyone and keep those suggestions coming. I would like to see this park bring a lot of smiles to more faces.

Like that doggy date night idea, I know that our three dogs love to walk around the park.

Parking area for food trucks might be nice too.

A neighborhood yard sale is another idea and a doggie contest on Halloween for cutest dressed. Another idea would be dog and cat vacinations or adoptions. I love
this park and take my small dog there about three times a week.
