The scariest (and the sweetest) night of the year will soon be upon us. Check out these Halloween fun facts to get in the spooky spirit.

The biggest 2011 trend for Halloween costumes is zombies, according to the National Retail Federation's annual Costumes Survey. According to their numbers, approximately 2.6 million men, women, and children have indicated they will dress up as zombies this Halloween. Other popular costumes among U.S. adults include witches, pirates, Batman, cats, vixens, ghosts, nurses and vampires. Top children's costumes include witches, Batman, pirates and vampires, as well as princesses, Spiderman, pumpkins, fairies, action/super heroes, Disney princesses and Star Wars characters.
