Tuesday Sunset Season Ends
The time change this weekend means an end to watching the sunset from the rooftop terrace at the Main Library. The program starts again when the time changes in the fall.
Diane Anton made the drive from East Lake Woodlands to catch this sunset.
Anton, 66, is an amatuer photographer, who found joy through F-stops and apertures a few years ago.
She heard in the past the Main Library opens the rooftop terrace up for sunset watching Tuesdays. When Anton realized this week would be the final chance for months, she grabbed her tripod and made the trek.
Because of the time change this weekend, the library will be closed when the sun sets, said Jen Obermaier, assistant director of the library system.
However, the program does start back up in the fall, when the time changes again.
Anton was not alone, a crowd of nearly 50 also came to take in the vista of Clearwater Harbor and downtown from the rooftop terrace, which is atop the fifth floor.
So, will she be back in the fall?
"Oh, definitely yes."

It sure would be nice to have a restaurant on top of a building downtown, open to the public, year around for the view. The library is quite inconvenient.
