1. Special Election for Clearwater Marine Aquarium Plan Could Cost $100K

The cost to ramp up a special election for a referendum for residents to decide Clearwater Marine Aquarium's $160 million plan for City Hall could cost more than $100,000, according to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections.

2. Red Light Cameras Continue to Run in Clearwater

After hearing a report regarding the safety and effectiveness of the red light camera program, city leaders decided to continue it and expect to hear another report in six months.

3. Clearwater Police: Men Shot Marbles at Businesses, Moving Vehicles

There are 28 cases reported, including 21 businesses and seven vehicles hit by marbles over the weekend. Detectives are working to determine the number of charges for each suspect, police say.

4. Nina, Pinta Take Port at Clearwater Marina

The historically accurate reproductions of the famed ships that were part of Christopher Columbus' journey are moored at Clearwater Harbor Marina through the weekend.

5. Clearwater Church Burglary Suspect Arrested in St. Petersburg

Scott Edward Regan, 44, was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft at Grace Lutheran Church and burglary at Skycrest United Methodist Church, according to St. Petersburg Police.
