Survive Isaac? Buy the T-Shirt

Luke Jackels has to be quick.

When it comes to cashing in on the T-shirt trade, Jackels knows what sells — trending topics like a tropical storm.

“It’s almost historic in a fashion,” Jackels said.

He is one of the owners of The Hideaway, a T-shirt shop on north Clearwater Beach that is selling “I Survived Hurricane Isaac” tees.

Jackels said they created the shirts a couple days ago as the storm's direction steered toward the Tampa Bay area. They already have sold a few.

“We get more laughs,” Jackels said.

Every square foot of the shop is covered, whether it is a T-shirt or design to make one.

Jackels is selling “I survived the RNC” and other politically driven tees too. He said they also produced some shirts when Tropical Storm Debby hit the area. 

“The custom thing we do sets us apart,” Jackels said.
