The first Clearwater Redneck Olympics were Saturday, Aug. 20, in the parking lot and surrounding areas.

The Redneck Olympics were a charity event to benefit The Bubba The Love Sponge Foundation. A portion of food sales during the event supports the charity and registration for the olympics was $10.

Some of the Redneck Olympics festivities included chainsaw art, trike racing, and watermelon seed spitting. Many spectators came out just for a taste of the gritty action and a cold drink.

Raffles tickets were on hand to purchase and prizes were given out throughout the day including the grand prize of a "pick me up truck."
