Phillies Take on the Twins

Opening Day starter Roy Halladay takes the mound against the Twins in Grape Fruit League play Wednesday at Bright House Field.

 

Roy Halladay makes his third appearance of Spring Training as the Phillies take on the Twins at Bright House Field Wednesday.

Halladay, the Opening Day starter, looks to continue to improve off his last start where he gave up four hits, three runs and struck out four over three innings, according to mlb.com.

Jonathan Papelbon and Michael Stutes are also scheduled to pitch. Dontrelle Willis is listed but unlikely to appear because of arm tightness issues, according to mlb.com.

The Twins send newly acquired veteran Jason Marquis to make his third start of the spring. Brian Duensing, Jeff Manship, Esmerling Vasquez, Luis Perdomo, Jeff Gray and Aaron Thompson are also expected to take the mound.

Phillies (5-6) vs. Twins (6-6)

Starters: Roy Halladay, Jason Marquis

When: 1:05 p.m. Wednesday
