How to Register to Vote in Clearwater

In honor of National Voter Registration Day, here's all the information you need on how and where to register to vote.

 

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, get it off your to-do list now.

National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, Sept. 25, and thousands of local, state and national organizations have mobilized to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections.

Six million people didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.

The voter registration deadline is Oct. 9 in Florida.

Here’s information on how you can register in time for the Nov. 6 elections:

Register at a Candidate Forum:

  • Florida State House and Senate Candidate Forum (including all districts covering Pinellas County) moderated by the League of Women Voters of North Pinellas starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 at Suncoast Hospice Community Service Center, The Gathering Place 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater. Here are some upcoming September voter registration drives in Pinellas County:

  • Voter Registration/Education & Voting System Demonstration from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo.
  • Voter Registration/Education & Voting System Demonstration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 27at Northside Hospital, 6000 49th St. N., St. Petersburg.
