Habitat Pinellas Gets $158,500 from Roof Raiser Fundraiser

The money will be used to help build three homes in the Stevens Creek subdivision. The donation comes from the April "Roof Raiser" fundraiser at Lokey Automotive Group.

After completing its month-long “Roof Raiser” fundraiser in April, Lokey Automotive Charities presented Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County a check for $158,500.

The money will be used to help build three affordable homes for limited income families in the Stevens Creek subdivision.

Paul Lokey, president of Lokey Automotive Group, recently gave the check to Barbara Inman, president of Habitat Pinellas, and Steve Lightburn, vice president of development.

“With our Stevens Creek subdivision, we are building a community within a community,” Lightburn said. “But, we can’t do it alone. It takes the help of our many volunteers and corporate sponsors, like Lokey Automotive Group, which enables Habitat Pinellas to build affordable homes for struggling families in our Pinellas community.”

Stevens Creek, where the three Lokey-sponsored homes are located, is a proposed 51-unit subdivision being constructed by Habitat Pinellas on the former Homer Villas public housing site.
