Firefighter Injured While Battling Blaze

A firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling a house fire in the Harbor Vista subdivision in unincorporated Clearwater Tuesday.

A firefighter sustained minor injuries while battling a house fire in the Harbor Vista subdivision in unincorporated Clearwater Tuesday (Dec. 6) morning.

It took Clearwater Fire and Rescue about 20 minutes to put out the fire at the 1200 block of Carolyn Lane just before 9 a.m.

The firefighter, who will not be named, was taken to the hospital and treated for minor burns, officials said.

Everyone who lived at the home was able to get out, however the property is a total loss, officials said.

Catherine Stephens bought the home for $49,200 in 1993, according to the Pinellas County Property Appraiser. It's market value is $46,310, according to county records.

Officials still are investigating the incident.
