Clearwater Police Conduct New Year's DUI Enforcement Detail

The increased enforcement is from 8 p.m. Monday through 4 a.m Tuesday, according to Clearwater Police.

 

Celebrate the New Year safely.

Clearwater Police are on the lookout for impaired and aggressive drivers as well as other traffic violations from 8 p.m. Monday through 4 a.m Tuesday, according to Clearwater Police.

"Officers will be deployed in various locations throughout the city," Elizabeth Watts, police spokeswoman, said in a release.

The Special Operations/Traffic Enforcement Team detail is an effort to reduce DUI-related injuries and educate drivers to the dangers of drinking and driving, according to the release.
