I have never understood why churches tax exempt. I wish someone would explain to me why on earth why Cities ie. Taxpayers are responsible in anyway for the cost of professional sports teams. especially while budgets for schools, teachers, and first responders are being cut.

You are exactly right. No tax dollars for private enterprises. Especially a game where they give multi million contracts to "players". They keep closing playgrounds, libraries, parks, saying there is not enough money. The Phillies HAVE INSURANCE. Why are they not using it? Oh, and don't forget the Rays want a new stadium early! Now Dunedin has to figure how to keep the Jays happy in their spring training facility! They just refurbished the locker rooms for them. (they complained they were not in "oak" and made them redo them.) This has to stop.
Maybe America needs another past time. I'm done. DONE with baseball, and crapola mayors and councils.
