Free Emergency Cell Phones for Senior Citizens

SAFETY PHONE PROJECT-FREE EMERGENCY PHONES FOR SENIORS

In this modern world of imminent danger it is imperative that senior citizens have access to immediate communication and help when in need. The Senior Victim Advocate Program provides free cell phones for use in emergency situations, which can be obtained at Senior Citizens Services of Clearwater.

Clearwater's Senior Citizens Services offers seniors free emergency cell phones at their senior center.

Examples of 911 emergency calls include fire or smoke in a building, car accidents, trespassers, imminent medical need, downed power lines as well as other situations that require immediate call to action. All details will be explained to assure that seniors understand how the program works and how to use the free emergency phone.

Clearwater Senior Citizens Services Center is located at 1204 Rogers St., Clearwater (off South Missouri Avenue, next to McDonald‘s). We are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more details, call 727-442-8104.

Senior Citizens Services of Clearwater is a non-profit organization, long recognized for tireless advocacy and action for the senior community. We are dedicated to providing exceptional quality of life forums, classes, activities and alternatives for all senior citizens.

Having access to a cell phone can make a difference between life & death when a senior lives alone - this is a great program that helps every senior, especially for those who can't afford to buy a cell phone.
