Charter Review Committee To Submit Findings to City Council Oct. 3
The city's Charter Review Committee will submit its findings at the Oct. 3 city council work session at City Hall.
The volunteer group of citizens held a series of meetings discussing the charter, which are basically the rules that govern the city, over the last seven months. A committee is formed every four years to do this.
The committee findings include; eliminating term limits, increasing the time between charter reviews; giving council members stipends in addition to salaries; and publishing the Notice of Availibility for the city audit annually.
Council members will talk about the items and the approved changes would be put to a vote on the ballot of the 2012 election.
